Due to the success of Southern Queensland Country Dream Escape, a second successful campaign was rolled out to continue subscriber acquisition, giving entrants the chance to win over $3,500 in prizes. Southern Queensland Country Glamping Getaway Acquisition was again done in conjunction with the Spicers Retreat offering a unique eco experience ‘glamping’ getaway under the stars.

The mobile responsive microsite featured a simple entry mechanic, which grew its database by over 2,500 new subscribers. The competition offered a luxurious getaway valued at $2,500 with an incentive to share & win. Another successful outcome for Southern Queensland Country Tourism with great results throughout its 28 days in market, and no media spend.


To further enhance the client’s email database for ongoing communication and expand brand awareness.

This 28-day campaign featured an effective & easy entry mechanic, offering the chance to win a Glamping Getaway at an amazing destination in a uniquely luxurious safari-style camping escape for 2 in Southern Queensland Country. Entrants were also encouraged to share for a chance to win this experience through social media channels and via email.


The key objective of the campaign was to create a user-friendly competition engine - to enhance the client’s database for ongoing communication. Furthermore, the competition brought awareness to the region and an incentive to explore further in the future.


XCOM re-skinned the Dream Escape mobile responsive microsite with an incredibly simple entry mechanic; all the entrants needed to provide was their name and email address. Facebook Connect functionality was also implemented for further ease of entry.

The campaign was iframed into the Southern Queensland Country website and equipped with real time reporting to monitor and track the campaigns success.

Entrants had the chance to win a 2 night Glamping Getaway at Spicers Canopy valued at $2,500, with an incentive to share via social media and triggered mailings to win 1 of 10 $100 fuel vouchers.
